The UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression, Mr. David Kaye, will speak ahead of his briefing to the General Assembly.


12:00 PM - 01:00 PM        (ECOSOC) Collaboration between the United Nations and DC Entertainment on a campaign in support of gender equality using the character of Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman will be designated as the UN Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls. DC Entertainment President Diane Nelson and surprise guests will be present to accept the designation on behalf of the comic book, TV and film character Wonder Woman. The designation ceremony will launch a campaign supporting Sustainable Development Goal #5 on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.
