The ESCR-Net Women and ESCR Working Group, in partnership with the Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations, is pleased to bring together women’s rights advocates from different regions of the world to discuss how the framework of women's economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR), incorporating a substantive equality approach, can be used to promote gender equality in the implementation and monitoring of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
This discussion will focus particularly on land, health and work, and the ESCR-Net Women and ESCR Working Group’s new briefing papers analyzing these rights within the substantive equality framework will also be launched.
