The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, in partnership with the Committee of Religious NGOs, is honoring the 2016 World Interfaith Harmony Week, by bringing together governmental, United Nations and religious leaders for an afternoon of panel discussions and dialogue. The event will highlight the role that communities of faith are playing in helping to guide our world toward a more compassionate, sustainable future. The focus will be on innovative approaches that develop a spirit of partnership among religious communities and with the United Nations.
The afternoon will address the following elements of discussion:
Panel 1 – Interfaith Harmony as a Key to Implementing the Sustainable Development Goals
Ceremony – Presentation of the 17 Development Goals by Religious Representatives
Panel 2 – The Future of Cooperation between Religious Communities and the United Nations
There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.
Event organized by The United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and The Committee of Religious NGOs at the U.N in relation with World Interfaith harmony Week 2016.
