The Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of ECOSOC will bring together key figures and stakeholders from ECOSOC’s past and present to mark 70 years of the Council’s efforts in support of the three dimensions of sustainable development—economic, social and environmental. Drawing on experience and major milestones in ECOSOC’s history, the commemoration will look ahead to how the Council can most effectively fulfil its mandates and functions in support of implementation, follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
