Mr. Ban Ki-moon’s second five-year term as Secretary-General of the United Nations will come to an end on 31 December 2016. Time has come to consider the selection of qualified candidates to take over the most important leadership position within the UN system. With this perspective and to mark its second anniversary, the group ACT (Accountability, Coherence and Transparency) will convene the UN community to an event dedicated to a fruitful discussion on the selection and appointment process of the next Secretary-General.
