10:00 AM        (ECOSOC) High-Level Conference 2014 - Central Emergency Fund (CERF).
- Ceremonial Session: 10:00 – 10:30
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, will open the session, followed by the screening of a brief film about the impact of CERF’s work in 2014.
This will be followed by a statement from the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Ms. Valerie Amos.
- Plenary Discussion: 10.30 – 11:00
Ms. Amos, together with key representatives of the broader humanitarian community, will conduct an interactive discussion on the value of CERF and its activities during 2014. Conference attendees will be invited to participate.
- Pledging Session: 11:00 – 13:00
Member States and the private sector will announce their pledges for 2015. Ms. Amos will preside over the session and will close the conference with an announcement of the tally of pledges.
