The latest release of ILO’s flagship report, World of Work 2014: Developing with Jobs, provides an in-depth analysis for 140 developing and emerging nations demonstrating that investing in quality jobs and decent work, reducing vulnerable employment and tackling working poverty leads to higher, more sustained and inclusive economic growth. It compiles recent country-based evidence on the importance of social protection, employment formalization, labour rights, fair remuneration and promotion of decent work opportunities in enhancing sustainable development. The report's findings are an invaluable input to inform the discussions on the post 2015 development agenda.
