The briefing will be given by H.E. Mr. Heiko Thoms, Deputy Permanent Representative of Germany to the United Nations in New York and Mr. Wu Hongbo, Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, UNDESA, Secretary-General for the International Conference on Small Island Developing States, joined by Prof. José Antonio Ocampo, Professor of Professional Practice in International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, who will present findings of the background study he co-authored for the symposium on "Accountability in development cooperation". The briefing will include a moderated interactive discussion with the speakers on the ongoing preparations for the 2014 DCF.
