10:00 AM        (ECOSOC) 1) 2013 session - The President of the Economic and Social Council, His Excellency Néstor Osorio (Colombia), will convene a plenary meeting of the Council in order to take action on the proposed theme for the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development for 2014 (E/2013/L.44), convened under the auspices of the Council.
2) 2014 session - Meeting to elect the next President and the four Vice-Presidents immediately following the plenary meeting of the 2013 session. The Council will also consider and approve its provisional agenda and programme of work for 2014 (E/2014/1) and the documentation for the provisional programme of work (E/2014/2).


12:00 PM        Noon Briefing with guest: H.E. Mr. Martin Sajdik, Incoming President of the Economic and Social Council and Permanent Representative of Austria to the UN.

12:30 PM        Press Conference: "Genocide: A Preventable Crime -- Understanding Early Warning of Mass Atrocities".
